Northern
Presence is sired by Akureyri, a graded stakes winner of
$226,668, who defeated Kentucky Derby winner Pleasant Colony on all
occasions they met. He also defeated champion Lord Avie. Akureyri
won or placed in 10 of 12 starts. His Dam Chocolatier, has produced
several stakes winners, and is now being bred to Quarter Horses. Her
sire Royal Chocolate, Queen’s Plate winner, is renown throughout the
Northwest as a sire of superior quality hunters and jumpers. Chocolatier
is a half sister to the dam of Sonny’s Hot Jazz(QH).
Northern Presence has a disposition second to none and
has passed this characteristic strongly to his offspring. Our foals
are conformationally correct, balanced, refined yet with enough bone
to meet the demands of the more rigorous events. Northern Presence
has produced futurity winners in halter, western pleasure, hunter
under saddle, english pleasure and lungeline.
Northern
Presence has sired Congress Finalists and World Qualifiers, NSBA Bronze
& Money earners, multiple Canadian National Champions, as well
as Provincial and State Champions. This proves the versatility of
this sire. Most of the get of Northern Presence are being shown by
youth or amateurs attesting to the gentle disposition these horses
have. Northern Presence is nominated to many of the Northwest Futurity
programs as well as the AQHA Incentive program. 95% of offspring shown
are point or money earners. |
